Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a lovely fiance called JP as well as hapless father Henry. The majority of people have come across me through my Instagram platform @annephung where I post my daily life: my highs, lows and all between. In 1990, my family moved to America. In the age of one and a quarter I was accepted into my parents. To give them the chance to have a prosperous future, I focused on my goals and worked hard to get there. I believed my life would go the same way as I graduated from college, land an executive position, get married and start an family. My goal was to go to college, graduate and get an employment in a corporation. I would then marry then buy a house, and then have children. However, life was not so sure. In 2013, my job as a corporate employee was something I dreaded. Status and money didn't bring me happiness. I felt I wasted my existence to get a pay check. My love of fitness and my desire to socialize with other people led me to find my new calling as an instructor. This year I will celebrate the 7th year anniversary of my business. In 2014, I launched my own business. It's not common to see an Asian female in the business. My goal is to be a change maker within the business to offer the best coaching and guidance to help individuals to be healthier and happier person by establishing the most sustainable life that meets the individual needs and desires. Additionally, I'm committed to supporting others so that they can achieve the goals they set, pursue their interests and lead the life of your dreams. My career exploded as I was experiencing the most success of my life. My mother died just as my career began to take off. To be in Heaven she rests now in peace after a long battle with Scleroderma. However, I carry my Mom with me and dream of her every day. It's incredible how life can give us the exact lesson we need, even when we don't realize it. Her passing has changed my life in several ways. I believe her death gave me an opportunity to begin the next chapter. Her death in the year of Tet/Lunar New Year Day was an opportunity for her to begin an entirely new chapter. To me, it was a second chance for me to live a fulfilling life. My 30's are the first moment that I feel as if I am alive. In sharing my story I hope my story will be a source of inspiration for you. My hope is that my words will aid you in understanding that you're never alone. I believe that you are blessed with the potential to accomplish whatever you want to achieve. My hope is to live your the life you want to live and have your death be without regrets, as that's the only thing that we have to be confident about for the rest of our lives.
