Thunberg took a the necessary action in August the year 2018. The woman sat quietly in the Swedish Parliament, put up a sign saying "School Strike For Climate" and boycotted her school. The idea was to get the politicians' attention and motivate them to act in order to stop global warming. Swedish media filmed Thunbergs' strike and spread the word. In the following days, a plethora of students around the globe joined the #FridaysforFuture strike, which saw students skip school on Fridays to demonstrate against climate changes. Climate activists from all over the globe coordinated the first Global Strike for Climate in 2019. It was a great success. 1.6 Million people in 125 countries participated.
