Jenna Fischer's most recognizable part is as Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed TV show The Office. The actress won two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on the comedy's ensemble.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mother Anne was a performer in church plays in her younger years, and this instilled an passion for theater.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Her role was later reprised in the world premiere of Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance in the Old Globe Theatre.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the character mate to Fischer) as well as her real life best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has landed in the Top Ten every single week. In its debut year, the show received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her path to Hollywood acting as a professional, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendship they had and their experiences in The Office.
